The Ghost Cleaner

The Ghost Cleaner is a game jam result, the theme of which being "Audio". The Unity built, single-player game places the player in a Luigi's mansion-style situation where the goal is to hunt down and capture all the ghosts running around the map.

My roles within this project were particle effects and shaders for the enemies.​ Enemies were originally invisible to the player and could only be located by sound alone. 

​

During the beginning development stages, it was realised that navigating on sound alone was near impossible to predict so I created a particle trail of leaves and dust to act as trails behind the enemies and wrote a shader which periodically flashes a green glow of the enemies outline, to alert the player from a distance of enemies locations.

My main roles within this project were:

  • Shaders, Animations & Particle Systems

  • Creation and implementation of "Glitch" shader

  • Rigging enemy model and animations

  • Tweaking of enemy movement system

  • Creation of "Fleeing Leafs" Particle System
